In the events of the International Women’s Day, the Auntie Amal Community Centre created a fundraiser for all women included in the community. They rewarded the people who attended the event with a healthy choice of free food. There were games which included competition and gifts. We rewarded women who were serving our community with gifts. Isolated women were contributed as well as newcomers from Syria who wanted to be a part of the community. We celebrated an event known as the Holli Festival of Colours and had been supported by women and children by allowing their face to be painted.
