Amal Kanafani’s GRACE GARDEN
In 2015 Amal found an abandoned yard outside her building (200 Wellesley). She decided to invite volunteers to help her clean it up, then turned it into a beautiful garden. After the garden was completed, it now contains a tent, a water fountain, a barbeque area, and an area to plant organic fruits and vegetables. All residents including seniors and children make use of this garden produce for fresh and healthy foods. This transition was a complete success, and we aim to accomplish more in the future.
